Day 178... Catch 22

He had decided to live forever or die in the attempt...

Catch 22 is a satirical, historical novel by the American author Joseph Heller, first published in 1961. The novel, set during the later stages of World War II from 1944 onwards, is frequently cited as one of the great literary works of the twentieth century... I had never read it, never even picked it up before I saw this copy in the gift shop of the Art Gallery. It caught my eye with the black edging on the pages and the quote across the front.
