Day 273... a wonderful world

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They're really saying I love you.

I hear babies cry, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world.

Day 270... puzzled

If the rose puzzled its mind over the question how it grew, it would not have been the miracle that it is.
J. B. Yeats

This rose is actually a lovely pink colour and it was it's colour that caught my attention as I walked to work this morning but once loaded on to the computer, I had a desire to take away the colour and fell in love with the detail that appeared

Day 269... thinking

Thought is the blossom; language the bud; action the fruit behind it”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

I am happy with this shot, I am happy with my shots for the last few days but I am a little frustrated...

we have had wonderful sunny days the last few days, I have been on days off and had hoped that I would be able to get out and about and capture some landscapes of my hometown and surrounds...

but instead I have been busy doing everything else and have captured close ups instead.

My next few days off we are heading to the coast so hopefully that will be the change I need

Day 268... growing

“You must grow like a tree, not like a mushroom”
Janet Erskine Stuart

Day 267... living

Day 266...

“I once bought my kids a set of batteries for Christmas with a note on it saying, toys not included.” Bernard Manning

Day 265... Made from BEER

Tonight I was a the pub, when the colours of the taps caught my attention, realising I had not taken a shot for the day I grabbed my camera, climbed up on a bar stool and started clicking away.... before anyone comments on my choice of beer, this tap was the best lit so the easiest to shoot.

Day 263....

The National Wine Centre of Australia (commonly the "Wine Centre") is a public exhibition building about winemaking and its industry in South Australia.

The Wine Centre is situated at the eastern end of North Terrace, Adelaide in the east parklands and adjacent to the Adelaide Botanic Gardens. The building is designed and uses building materials to reflect items used in making wine. The external of the building looks like a section of a wine barrel.

Day 254.... morning

Driving to work this morning, not the perfect way to spend a Sunday morning but I don't mind, when I saw a gentle mist hanging in the parklands... of course I had to stop and try and capture it (no one seem to notice I was 5 minutes late arriving)

I don't ask for the meaning of the song of a bird or the rising of the sun on a misty morning. There they are, and they are beautiful.
Pete Hamill

Day 253... needs

A flower cannot blossom without sunshine, and man cannot live without love.
Max Muller
