Day 89... busy, busy

If ants are such busy workers, how come they find time to go to all the picnics?

Marie Dressler

My subject was the flowers, the colours really caught my attention when I noticed the busy, busy little ants

Day 89... play it LOUD

This is the new stereo that my son has installed in his car...
there was a saying when I was a teenager, "If it is too LOUD, then you are too OLD" and I get the feeling that teenagers of today still believe in the saying

Day 88... Photography has increased my awareness

The title is a quote from Andreas Carl and it is something that I find everyday thanks to my 365 project...
and so when I saw this comment written on a building I smiled

Plenty of "art work" everywhere to see on Brunswick Street

these bees and "meat-eating" plant above a florist

It must be getting close to Easter, for my friends in Oz who want a chance to win go to http://www.goldbunny.com.au/

Naked for Satan is a Basque-style pintxos bar which opened up late last year in Brunswick Street; cool place for drinks and tapas...

How things have changed...

The beauty of the buildings of Melbourne

Day 86... flying

Sunday... race day and things are flying,

above the track the Army put on a display

Qantas flew over in their special decortated plane then the action hit the track...

The start of the race saw cars rush through the first corner but already the Red Bull of Sebastian Vettel was flying away

Red Bull gives you wings and Sebastian Vettel won the race...

The race has been raced and won...

Day 85... old and new

If Lewis wins a race he has to go and speak to Vodafone. If I won a race I'd chase the girls -  Sir Stirling Moss reveals why racing was much more fun back in his day
Over the years a lot of things have changed not just chasing girls...
one of the things I love about the F1 weekend is seeing cars, the new cars on the track and older cars in displays....
The new cars...  Lotus moves on to turn two while the Sauber comes around turn one... then some older cars

Sir Jack Brabham, Australia's first Formula 1 World Champion, 1960 Cooper
An old Buick Hearse, which is still in operation... a stylish way to make your final journey

One of the older teams in Formula 1, Williams

Then in the skies....
This helicopter looked like he had the clouds closing in on him

Day 84... on track

Today the F1 cars hit the track and I was sitting in the Jones stand at turn one to see all the action...
 The Sauber
 Team Lotus
Red Bull - Sebastian Vettel (Current World Champion)
Seven times World Champion, Michael Schumacher in the Mercedes... I love how you can see his helmet in the reflection of his mirror
 Force India
 Williams
The rubber laid on the track after the boys have played...

Day 83... in the pits

I have two passions... photography and Formula 1 Grand Prix

The season started this year with the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix... Melbourne, Australia and I was there. The F1 cars don't hit the track until Friday but they are there in the pits and I was lucky enough to walk along and see the cars in the garages.

This Toro Rosso was being pushed back to the garage after scrutineering

Day 82... simplicity

“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” - Leonardo da Vinci

There are somethings in nature that are very complex and others like the frangipani flower that is so very simple...

Day 81... magical

Every time a child says I don't believe in fairies there is a fairy somewhere that falls down dead.

J. M. Barrie

Day 80... Penguin

It has been a busy day and I didn't know what I would take today... I was spending time with my nieces and nephews when I saw this little guy and knew that I had my photo of the day
