Day 161... Coopers Clydesdales

This tradition began in the 1860s, when Thomas Cooper used to deliver his popular ales and stouts by horse and cart.

Although horse and cart delivery stopped in the 1920s, the family’s fondness for these great beasts of burden continues and the horses are now put to work as show teams.

The current show team consists of four young bay Clydesdale geldings; all under the age of 6 and registered with the Commonwealth Clydesdale Horse Society.
