Day 104...

falling leaves
hide the path
so quietly

~John Bailey, "Autumn,"

the days are getting shorter and the leaves are falling from the trees, colours are changing but the weather is still nice... Autumn is here and it is a beautiful season.

My thanks to a dear friend, who gave me a memory card to keep in my purse (as I would often be caught without a card having left it in the computer) and with out that memory card this photo would not have been because once again I forgot the card

Day 103... light and dark

St Francis Xavier Cathedral, Wakefield Street, Adelaide...
I love the way the light plays on the building and the shadows highlight the details

Day 102... control

Today, watching television often means fighting, violence and foul language - and that's just deciding who gets to hold the remote control. ~Donna Gephart

If only there was a remote control for life just like there is for the TV... changing the channel, volume control, even a mute button. I am sure it would improve my day

Day 101... sweet as

" I've noticed that being with you, I smile more often, I anger a little less quickly, the sun shines a little brighter, and life is so much sweeter. For being with you takes me to a different place: a place called love."

Be a lover, a partner, or a friend we are lucky to be loved and to love...

Day 100...

100 days... I have taken a least one photo a day everyday for the last 100 days...
When I started this project I wanted to do it, I hoped I could do it but part of me did wonder if I could do it.
Now 100 days in, I am loving every day and every chance to take a photo and one of the things that keeps me motivated is the support and comments that I recieve on this site and from wonderful friends on Facebook so to everyone who takes the time to look at my photos... thank you

Day 99... colourful

“There are not more than five primary colors... blue, yellow, red, white, and black, yet in combination they produce more hues than can ever been seen”

Colours are everywhere and Mother Nature has painted a wonderful picture for us all but sometimes no matter how vibrant the colours are the subject is just not beautiful

Day 97... city bridge

A beautiful Autumn night in Adelaide... the sliver of the moon sat in the sky.

Once in the city I headed to the River Torrens, to photograph the City Bridge, opened since 1856

This is a beautiful bridge and it is not just the area over the water that captures the eye...

Captain Jolley's paddleboats also drew the eye...

As I wandered along the river, I listened to the sound of the piano... there have been a number of pianos randomly placed around the city for people to sit and play, I was lucky enough to have someone play

For Tammy....

Shoot for the moon and if you miss you will still be among the stars.

Not the best quality shots but I saw the sliver of the moon through the trees on my way home from work and had to stop...

Day 96... it looks like

A beautiful Autumn day in Adelaide today, clear blue skies... time to get out into the parklands

“If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands.”
Douglas Adams

Day 95... sweet

Flowers are the sweetest things God ever made, and forgot to put a soul into.
Henry Beecher, Life Thoughts, 1858

Day 94... memory

Computers have lots of memory but no imagination. ~Author Unknown

I don't know about anyone else but I seem to collect these things... but I can never find one when I really need one

Day 93... new growth

I know that it may not look like new growth but this is a bromeliad pup... it needs to be seperated from the "mother" plant and it will become its own plant

Day 92... change the way you look

When you change the way you look at things – the things you look at change!

Today I photographed something that I have already photographed.... http://frameitthenshootit.blogspot.com/2011/02/day-49-raindrops-on-rose.html
but today I changed the way I looked at it and I am quite pleased with the result...

Day 91... cut and COLOUR

A good man might be hard to find, but a good hairdresser is next to impossible

I was at the hairdressers this morning, I couldn't believe the colour that was around...

Day 90...hop to it

I got a chocolate rabbit
For an Easter treat,
A great big chocolate rabbit
Good enough to eat.

So I ate his ears on Sunday,
His nose I finished Monday.
Tuesday I nibbled on his feet.
I ate his tail on Wednesday
Thursday I kept on,
By Friday he was going,
Saturday he was gone.

Oh, I loved my chocolate rabbit
From the moment that he came,
And if I get another one,
I'll love him just the same

Day 89... busy, busy

If ants are such busy workers, how come they find time to go to all the picnics?

Marie Dressler

My subject was the flowers, the colours really caught my attention when I noticed the busy, busy little ants

Day 89... play it LOUD

This is the new stereo that my son has installed in his car...
there was a saying when I was a teenager, "If it is too LOUD, then you are too OLD" and I get the feeling that teenagers of today still believe in the saying

Day 88... Photography has increased my awareness

The title is a quote from Andreas Carl and it is something that I find everyday thanks to my 365 project...
and so when I saw this comment written on a building I smiled

Plenty of "art work" everywhere to see on Brunswick Street

these bees and "meat-eating" plant above a florist

It must be getting close to Easter, for my friends in Oz who want a chance to win go to http://www.goldbunny.com.au/

Naked for Satan is a Basque-style pintxos bar which opened up late last year in Brunswick Street; cool place for drinks and tapas...

How things have changed...
