365 project Day 027... exciting

Strangers are exciting, their mystery never ends. But, there's nothing like looking at your own history in the faces of your friends.
Ani DiFranco

Sitting on the train at Circular Quay looking through the rain speckled window the lines caught my attention but the people made it interesting

365 project 2013 Day 025... bark

As the poet said, 'Only God can make a tree,' probably because it's so hard to figure out how to get the bark on.

365 project 2013 Day 018... tell them

Time goes by so fast, people go in and out of your life. You must never miss the opportunity to tell these people how much they mean to you.

Day 164...

Aim for the moon. If you miss, you may hit a star.

W. Clement Stone

Tonight I aimed for the moon and was able to capture it... not my first moon shot and it won't be the last as tonight's shot is preparation for Thursday morning when there will be a lunar eclipse, I am hoping for fine skies so I can capture it even if it does mean getting out of bed very, very early....

Day 152... light on

I know, I swear

If you leave a light on, if you leave a light on for me

I'll come there

You can leave a light on for me

Duran Duran - Leave a Light on

I was walking back to my car after another day at work when I saw this beautiful verandah lit up, I love the silhouette that was formed and the beautiful pattern.

Day 137...

“I was always shocked when I went to the doctor's office and they did my X-ray and didn't find that I had eight more ribs than I should have or that my blood was the color green.”

Nicolas Cage

Yesterday's photo was taken with my iPhone because I couldn't lift and hold my camera due to a problem with my shoulder... today I went and had an ultrasound so they could give me a cortisone injection, it feels better already and hopefully continues to improve.

So my photo today, pretty pictures of the inside of my shoulder

Day 128... Mother's Day

A mother's love is consistent and patient, it will never fade.

A mother's love is warm and compassionate, even in the shade.

A mother's love will always help you through the weakest hours.

A mother's love is always like a bouquet of flowers.

A mother's love is strong and will never steer you wrong.

A true mother's love is beautiful in many ways.

A true mother's love is sincere and it takes a mother's love to conquer our fears.

A true mother's love knows the depth of love.

A true mother's love is contentment, just like God's love.

My mother's love is absolutely all of the above

Patarica D. Nunn

Happy Mother's Day to all the mums...

Day 126... single

A single rose can be my garden... a single friend, my world.

Day 116... light as a...

It is not only fine feathers that make fine birds.

Aesop (620 BC - 560 BC)

I wandered down to the River Torrens today, such a beautiful Autumn day in Adelaide and thought I would get that postcard shot* as I sat on the bank the swans came right up to me and the lightness and texture became my photo of the day, the postcard shot will have to wait until another day (maybe tomorrow)

Postcard shot: those shots of our hometowns that we avoid because they are on the postcards in the tourist shops but as soon as we are in a different city we look at taking those very shots.

(Maybe we need to look at our hometowns as a tourist would?!?!?)

Day 101... sweet as

" I've noticed that being with you, I smile more often, I anger a little less quickly, the sun shines a little brighter, and life is so much sweeter. For being with you takes me to a different place: a place called love."

Be a lover, a partner, or a friend we are lucky to be loved and to love...

Day 100...

100 days... I have taken a least one photo a day everyday for the last 100 days...
When I started this project I wanted to do it, I hoped I could do it but part of me did wonder if I could do it.
Now 100 days in, I am loving every day and every chance to take a photo and one of the things that keeps me motivated is the support and comments that I recieve on this site and from wonderful friends on Facebook so to everyone who takes the time to look at my photos... thank you

Day 79... autumn days

In autumn when the trees are brown
The little leaves come tumbling down
They do not make the slightest sound
But lie so quietly on the ground
Until the wind comes puffing by
And blows them off towards the sky.

These leaves never got the chance to fly into the sky... my beautiful, two year old, nephew collected them for me so I just had to take photos of them.

Day 78... Delicate

“I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars.”

Og Mandino (American Essayist and Psychologist, 1923-1996)
Tonight is what is being called the Supermoon... a full moon at it closest to Earth, I will hopefully go out in to the darkness and take a shot but this light is my photo of the day...

Day 77....

The red rose whispers of passion,

And the white rose breathes of love;

O, the red rose is a falcon,

And the white rose is a dove.

Day 67...

In Adelaide March is known as Mad March...
one of the things that happens is that quiet streets become a racetrack for a V8 race.
Preperations are well under way with the streets being lined with barriers... both concrete and tyres, the tyre barriers are stacks of tyres chained together.
Looking at my photos I noticed that there is normally a lot of colour, today is different... I didn't search for a monochromatic shot but it is what I found
