First and foremost, make it an obvious picture of color! Rather than
looking for rocks, leaves, trees, waterfalls, birds, flowers, fire
hydrants, starfish, boats, orchards, or bridges, focus your energy and
vision on red, blue, yellow, orange, green, or violet. Color first,
content second! - Bryan Peterson

Day 245... live
Life is full of beauty.
Notice it.
Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces.
Smell the rain, and feel the wind.
Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.
Ashley Smith
Today I headed back to the Japenese Gardens, I first visited them in January but that day I only captured photos of bees and today was no different...

Day 241... smiles
A smile starts on the lips, A grin spreads to the eyes, A chuckle comes from the belly; But a good laugh bursts forth from the soul, Overflows, and bubbles all around” - Carolyn Birmingham
A simple smile is how it begins... and a sure way to form a simple smile is to blow bubbles on a fine sunny day

If life throws you a lemon - make lemonade.
Joan Collins
Joan Collins
I try and be positive,
I try and see the best of a bad situation,
I try and smile when I want to cry
I try...

Day 159... a different way to look at things
Some people are always grumbling because roses have thorns. I am thankful that thorns have roses.
Alphonse Kerr
I know too many people that only look at the negatives, like roses having thorns, when they are really quite lucky to have everything that they have...
I love the people in my life that no matter what is happening to them and they have a right to be negative manage to look at the roses and smile...
I am thankful for those people in my life, I am very lucky

Day 149...
Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.
Albert Camus
Today I thought I would go capture the beauty of a Autumn landscape,
so I travelled to the Adelaide Botanical Gardens
but even the best laid plans don't go to plan...
I can't help to get in close and capture the detail... I did get a landscape,
a panoramic landscape...
as I was leaving this guy landed on the ground right in front of me and of course I had to capture him...

Day 123... strength
A color is as strong as the impression it creates. (Ivan Albright)
Colour surrounds us everywhere and some create more of an impression than others, the colour of this flower on the cannas is one thing that really create an impression.
For a shot of the cannas check out my picture from the 11th of January

Day 108... vibrant
“Nature always wears the colors of the spirit.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Colour catches your eye, it is everywhere but some colours are more vibrant than others. The colours of this plant are definitely vibrant and very eye-catching

Day 82... simplicity
“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” - Leonardo da Vinci
There are somethings in nature that are very complex and others like the frangipani flower that is so very simple...

Day 71... unaffected
The daisy's for simplicity and unaffected air - Robert Burns
I wandered through the gardens and unlike yesterday I took many shots, the thing I kept coming back to was the daisies... they were just so simple, so very unaffected
